Operations Director (Construction)

### Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused **Operations Director** to lead and oversee construction operations across multiple projects. This is a senior leadership position responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.

### Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage day-to-day construction operations across multiple projects.
* Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business objectives.
* Oversee project performance, budgets, programmes, resources and delivery targets.
* Manage and support project managers, site teams, contractors and subcontractors.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
* Ensure full compliance with health & safety, quality and environmental requirements.
* Identify operational risks and implement effective solutions to minimise delays and costs.
* Monitor project progress and ensure agreed deadlines and commercial targets are achieved.
* Drive continuous improvement, efficiency and best practice across the business.
* Support business development, tendering and strategic growth initiatives.
* Ensure projects meet contractual, regulatory and company standards.
* Provide regular operational and performance reports to senior management.

* Proven experience in a senior operations or leadership role within the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, project delivery and commercial management.
* Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
* A strategic and solution-focused approach to operational challenges.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong understanding of UK construction health & safety and regulatory requirements.
